Check us out- BLACK TIE EVENT!

This last weekend we had  a 'black tie' event for our Pinnacle end of the year party. I haven't had that much fun in a LONG time! We went down on friday and while the boys were at meetings we had some girl time.. shopping and eating at PF Changs. Then saturday there was a 5k in the morning, and a wives lunch, and more shopping (of course) Then we went to MAC and got our makeup done (hence my GIANT fake eyelashes in all of these pictures) Then we went to the "Pinnacle Awards" at Thanksgiving Point. They wanted us to feel like we were at the Emmys, red carpet, good food.. It was really fun.

 We went to Grand America Hotel for their Breakfast Buffett the next morning.. and can I just say.. that is the most amazing meal I have ever had.. Even though its really expensive, I would pay $80 bucks, okay even like... $200  to do it again any time. 

 I LOVE Cate.. It was soo good to see her. Even if it was only for a day and a half. (hey lady.. MOVE TO IDAHO!) 

I really loved getting all dressed up with mark- It was the prom we never got to have! ; ) 

It was so fun to be with all our friends, Nicole, Abby, Catie, Kelsi, Misty, Trista, Cami... Im so blessed with such good friends. 

(o and.. im starting to feel self conscious of my blogging... my comments have been low in numbers lately.. leave me some love so i know someone out there is reading this and im not just writing to myself!; )

 I really love beautiful things. Im all about 'Things that Make Life Beautiful" So while I have some extra time at work, I browse the internet.. looking at vintage fabrics, houses, decor, jewelry, dresses, wedding decor, ect. anything to get me to be inspired. (Lets face it.. here in brown/grey idaho we need some beautiful things to look at!!)   Today I was really feeling the need to decorate my house- I love decorating and hope that someday I can have a FABULOUS house full of pretty things. I saw these pictures and thought I HAVE to share these on my blog. (dont fall in love with any of them.. they are all around one billion dollars) But do Enjoy!!! A Little More- Happiness.

I haven't been the 'happiest' person to be around lately... So I decided to make a happy list- of things that make me happy. Here goes.. 

I am LOVING anything vintage right now. Love Love Love. Cant Get enough.

Of course I LOVE this store.. Its one of my favorites.. 

I watch this show EVERY MORNING while I get ready to go to work. Its on ABC Family from 8-9. Starts my day off right! Love Boy Meets World. 

I eat at least two a day. I think I might have an addiction... Ok I know I do. I crave these little things every second of the day. I know my teeth will one day fall out.. but I try to brush them 5 times a day! ;) 

And of course all the SHOWS I watch during work to entertain me.. 

But--- We all know that this is NOT what  a happy life is made of. Looking and experiencing these things make me happy for a little bit.. But what really makes a person happy is the stuff life is made of. The Gospel, Family, Time, Decisions, Goals, Hard Work, Experiences, Love... and Luckily for me I have alot of that going on too!

Life Is Beautiful!

SHE wears party dresses and high heels. HE wears basketball shorts and white T's. SHE is loud and opinionated. HE is quiet and easy going. SHE is the gas. HE is the breaks. SHE is restless. HE is content. SHE is outgoing. HE is reserved. SHE likes to spend money. HE works hard to provide them a great life. SHE is crazy. HE is calm. SHE likes exotic food. HE likes steak and potatoes. SHE likes to go out and party. HE likes to stay home and watch movies.
SHE loves him. HE loves her.
This blog was born hours after we got engaged... I was so excited to blog about our lives, our triumphs, our faliures, our adventures, our goals.

Ive never been a "wife" before... I had NO idea of how much of a responsibility it was to have a family. Even if it only consists of me mark and our puppy Ruby... But MAN was I excited to take on this new challenge of being a wifey.

Isn't that what we as girls have DREAMED about being since the day we got our first Barbie and Ken? I have always had this vision of how my life was going to turn out.. "When I grow up Im going to be so organized.. so spiritual.. so... perfect." I had always believed that by 'that time' I would know exactly who I was....

Then it hit me.. Jaymie.. right NOW is 'that time'. So WHO AM I? How do I make that vision of my 'barbie and ken' life a reality?

Well.. Every day I spend with Mark allows me to change and grow and learn.. I am constantly working towards becoming 'Who I Am'. And while I definetly haven't achieved that perfect vision I had for my life... I realize that with all the ups and downs, and trials and challenges, that life is BEAUTIFUL. (even if sometimes its a beautiful mess!)

We use this blog to document lifes beautiful moments, beacause if we are really paying attention- we are constantly surrounded by all the beauty Heavenly Father has to offer us.
